Shrewsbury to Welshpool

Description

Follow NCN route 81 on this challenging route which takes you from Shropshire and over the border into Wales. The route starts near the train station in Shrewsbury and begins with a short pleasant stretch along the River Severn passing through The Quarry park and crossing Porthill Bridge. You then follow NCN route 81 to Montford Bridge where you'll cross the river again, continuing along the Severn Way to Breidden Forest and Breidden Hill. Shortly after you cross the border into Wales, finishing in Welshpool town centre.
