Blanchland to Derwent Reservoir Walk

This walk takes you along the River Derwent to Derwent Reservoir from the historic village of Blanchland.
You can follow a pleasant riverside path east from the village for a distance of 1.5 miles to reach the expansive reservoir. On the way you will pass the historic abbey and some pockets of woodland before coming to the lake. Here you can enjoy some wonderful views across the water to the surrounding hills and countryside.
