Cruagh Woods Walk
This circular walk explores Cruagh Woods near Dublin.
The route uses a section of the Dublin Mountains Way to take you on a 4km tour of the peaceful woods.
Starting from the car park, a network of well-maintained forest tracks takes you through the coniferous woodland. The trails here are wide and generally flat, making it a comfortable walk. As you ascend, the trees begin to thin, giving you glimpses of the surrounding landscape.
The highlight of the walk is the fantastic panoramic views that open up as you reach the more exposed sections. From the upper paths, you'll be able to see across Dublin city and Dublin Bay to the north, while to the south, the rolling hills of the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains stretch out.
You can continue your walking on the Tibradden Wood and Two Rock Mountain Walk which is located just to the east of the woods. Ticknock Forest and Massey Woods are also nearby.
