Hebburn Riverside Walk

2.1 miles (3.3 km)

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This waterside walk takes you along the River Tyne from the town of Hebburn to the lovely Bill Quay Farm.
There's a public parking area next to the river where you can start your walk. Follow the surfaced path south and it will take you toward Bill Quay and the Bill Quay Farm. It's a lovely green space with a community farm where you can see Alpacas, Goats and Pigs.
Along the way you can enjoy views of the many river boats and enjoy a stroll around the riverside park near the start. The pleasant, surfaced path is also suitable for cyclists.
You can extend the walk by continuing west to Gateshead along the waymarked River Tyne Trail. You could also cross the river to pick up the epic Hadrian's Wall Path.
