Loch Garry
This walk visits Loch Garry in the Scottish Highlands near Fort William.
You can park in one of the lay-bys on the northern side of the loch near Ardochy House. Then follow the country lane along the large loch which is 11 km long and 50 m deep. There's also a viewpoint car park just north of Ardochy House. This is a popular spot for taking photos of the beautiful loch as from the outline of the loch has the shape of a map of Scotland.

Just to the east you'll find Loch Oich. There's a nice circular trail here using part of the epic Great Glen Way long distance trail.
On the nearby Caledonian Canal and you could visit the splendid Neptune's Staircase. The site is noteworthy as the longest staircase lock flight in Scotland.

Loch Garry. The 'classic' viewpoint of the upper loch, taken before the area just below the roadside was planted. It will be interesting to see if they let the trees grow to obscure this wonderful viewpoint.
