Oban To Ganavan Sands Beach Walk

This coastal walk takes you from Oban to the secluded beach at Ganavan Bay on the west coast of Scotland.
It's a pleasant walk, running along the coastal road for a distance of just over 2 miles. On the way you will pass two significant historical sites in the shape of The Cathedral Church of St Columba and Dunollie Castle. The ruined castle is open to the public and includes an interesting museum. From the site there are also great views out to the island of Kerrera, Oban Harbour and the other outlying isles.
At Ganavan Sands you will find a quiet beach with views to Mull, Lismore and Morven. There's also some nice walks along the shoreline or up to the viewpoint at Ganavan Hill.
