Painswick to Slad Valley Circular Walk

This circular walk takes you from the village of Painswick to the Slad Valley in the Cotswolds.
The route runs for a distance of just under 7 miles, following a series of local footpaths through the area. On the way you will pass through the lovely Painswick Valley before heading towards Slad. It's a very pretty area with picturesque streams and pockets of woodland to explore. The area is also well known for its associations with the author Laurie Lee, who based his book 'Cider with Rosie' on his own life in the village.
There are some moderate climbs on the undulating route with great views over the surrounding Cotswolds hills and countryside to enjoy from the high points.
