Tosson Hill and Simonside Circular Walk
This walk climbs to the highest hill in the Simonside Hills near Rothbury in Northumberland.
The trail starts off at the Simonside car park where there's a picnic area as well. You'll follow woodland trails west passing Dove Crag, Old Stell and Bob Pyle's Studdie before coming to the 430 metre high Simonside Hill.
The walk then continues west to Ravens Heugh before climbing to the 440 metre summit of Tosson Hill. From here you can enjoy some splendid views over the surrounding Rothbury Forest, the River Coquet Valley and the Northumberland National Park hills and countryside.
