Brockhill Country Park
Brockhill Park has a number of waymarked woodland trails, a lake, open grassland and meadows. The park is rich in wildlife, with marbled white butterflies, green woodpeckers and carpets of snowdrops. There are also excellent facilities with picnic areas and a cafe.
Brockhill is located near Hythe on the Kent Coast.

Further Information and Other Local Ideas
Just to the west on the Royal Military Canal Path you'll find the village of Lympne. Here you can visit the splendid Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, the medieval Lympne Castle and the ancient Portus Lemanis Roman Fort.

Café at Brockhill Country Park. On a warm August afternoon the (pay & display) car park was packed but the park itself was uncrowded.
Brockhill Stream. This stream leads from the lake down the valley into Hythe.
Footbridge. This is on the 'Blue Route'. A 3/4 mile route from the carpark down the valley and then around the lake. This bridge is over a small feeder stream to the lake, on the west of the lake.
The Cascades. The Brockhill Stream was a natural watercourse. The stream was dammed by the Victorians to create the lake and the Cascades waterfall.

Saxon Shore Way in Heane Wood. The wood is located just north west off the park and a place to extend your walk.
