Auchmithie to Lunan Bay Walk

This coastal walk takes you from Auchmithie to Lunan Bay on the North Sea coast of Scotland. The walk runs for just over 6 miles, with the majority running along some wonderful cliff tops.
The walk starts from the small fishing village of Auchmithie, a few miles north east of Abroath in Angus. From here you head north east through the countryside to Ethie where you follow the coast around Ethie Haven. In this area you will also pass Ethie Castle which dates back to around 1300.
The final section runs north along Lunan Bay and beach before crossing Lunan Water and finishing in the little hamlet of the same name.
To continue your walking in the area pick up the Arbroath Cliff Trail to take you along the cliff tops to Arbroath.
