Chitterne and Tilshead Circular Walk

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This walk explores the countryside surrounding the Wiltshire villages of Chitterne and Tilshead.
You'll explore the central section of Salisbury Plain with fine views of the surrounding hills.
The walk uses a series of bridle paths and a section of the waymarked Imber Range Perimeter Path to explore the area. On the way there are some fine views of the Chitterne Brook Valley and a number of ancient earthworks and long barrows.
After your walk head to the King's Head in Chitterne for some refreshments. The community owned pub dates from the 17th century and serves good food and drinks.
