Shenington and Middle Tysoe Circular Walk

5.5 miles (8.9 km)

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This circular walk explores the countryside surrounding the villages of Shenington and Middle Tysoe on the Oxfordshire/Warwickshire border.
The walk begins in Oxfordshire based Shenington and follows footpaths north west to Middle Tysoe where you could stop for refreshments at The Peacock Inn. You could also take a detour from the route here and head south west from Tysoe to visit the Tysoe Windmill. There's some splendid views over the Cotswolds AONB from the elevated spot on windmill hill.
The walk then picks up a section of the waymarked Warwickshire Centenary Way and follows it south east back to Shenington. Here you can enjoy some post walk refreshments at The Bell. The pub dates back to 1700 and is located in a lovely spot next to the pretty village green.
