This wonderful 170 mile route explores the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on a circular signed trail.
You'll pass through the counties of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, visiting a series of delightful villages and enjoying some splendid rural scenery.
This route starts from the Hertfordshire town of Harpenden but other good access points are Henley-on-Thames, Wallingford, Princes Risborough, Wendover, Tring, Amersham and Berkhamsted.
Much of the route runs close to the Chiltern Way. This waymarked walk is a great way of exploring the area on foot and also contains several sections suitable for cyclists.

Further Information and Other Local Ideas

The trail links up with National Cycle Route 5, National Cycle Route 57 and National Cycle Route 6. These signed routes are a good way of further exploring the area.
