Swansea Bike Path

6 miles (9.3 km)

Follow the Swansea Bike Path along Swansea Bay on this lovely coastal cycle ride in South Wales.
The traffic free path runs for just under 6 miles along a signed surfaced path. As such it's a great one for families or anyone looking for an easy, safe ride. Along the way there's great views over Swansea Bay, lovely beaches and an historic ruined Norman castle.
The route starts off at Mumbles Head where there are fine views over the beautiful Gower Peninsula. You then head north, passing the 12th century Oysermouth Castle, West Cross and Black Pill before finishing in Swansea at the Quay by the River Tawe.
The path is part of Sustrans National Cycle Route 4 so it's easy to extend your outing if you have time. For example you could pick up another off road trail at Black Pill and follow it inland to visit Clyne Valley Country Park.
