124.1 miles (199.8 km)

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This 124 mile cycle route connects the university cities of Oxford and Cambridge, offering a mostly flat journey with gentle gradients. Several long sections are also traffic free making it a fine way to visit these two historic English cities by bike.
Starting in Oxford, the trail passes the University Parks before heading east to Bicester. From there, it follows quiet roads and traffic-free sections through classic British countryside to Milton Keynes. The route continues on National Cycle Route 51 past Stewartby Lake, joining a traffic-free path through Bedford and over the River Great Ouse at mile 66. Riders then follow National Cycle Route 12 north towards Huntingdon, with a caution for uneven bridleway sections between St Neots and Grafham Water. Finally, from Huntingdon, a traffic-free path alongside the guided busway leads directly into Cambridge.
