Explore this lovely coastal nature reserve on this walk on Portsea Island near Portsmouth. Habitats include wetlands, reedbeds, streams, a lake and fields with grazing cattle.
There's nice footpaths to follow around the site with great views over Langstone Harbour and lots of birdlife to look out for. Keep your eyes peeled for geese, wigeons, teals, avocets, redshanks, dunlins and short eared owls.
The Solent Way long distance footpath runs through the reserve. You can extend your walk by heading south along the coast of Portsea Island to Portsmouth and Southsea. Heading east takes you toward Havant and Hayling Island where you can pick up the Hayling Billy Trail.
