The sea wall looking towards Meon Shore Chalets. The power station at Fawley can bee seen on the horizon, on the far bank of Southampton Water. The oil-fired power station is next to the oil refinery, also visible on the horizon as a forest of fractional distillation towers. Power is fed out by a tunnel under Southampton Water to a line of pylons, just visible behind Solent Breezes Holiday Village.

Titchfield Canal. This little ditch was a canal which was dug to get boats to Titchfield from the sea at Titchfield Haven. It was one of the earliest canals in England, dating from the 1600s. I can only imagine that it was once bigger or that the boats using it were not much more than rowing boats. It parallels the River Meon and gets it's water from it. There was a sea lock near the haven. The remains of which can still be seen.
