Jeskyns Park
Explore the woodlands, ponds, orchards and wildflower meadows in this country park near Gravesend. Walkers can enjoy a number of waymarked surfaced paths and an 8km grass trail. There are also easy surfaced paths for cyclists. These are good for families looking for a safe ride.
There's lots to see with 100 acres of meadowland with over 40 species of wildflower. You can also explore the orchards with apple, plum, cherry and pear trees. At Henhurst Lake you can look out for water loving wildlife while the woodland area and glades are a lovely tranquil place for a stroll too.
If you'd like to extend your outing then you could head to the nearby Shorne Woods Country Park where you'll find 288 acres of rolling woodlands, wetlands and meadows. Our Circular Walk around Cobham visits Shorne Woods, Jeskyns Park and also takes you to Cobham Woods which is run by the National Trust.
Just east of the woods there's also Ashenbank Wood which has some lovely bluebells in spring.

Pubs/Cafes
There is an on site cafe with plenty of picnic tables outside in the park.
The Inn on the Lake is also located next to the park. They have a lovely outdoor seating area with beautiful gardens. There is a Lakeside Bar open to non residents with freshly prepared homecooked meals.
Dog Walking
The park is a popular place for dog walkers with designated off lead areas, including two secure paddocks. The on site cafe is also dog friendly.
Further Information and Other Local Ideas
The Gravesend Walk will take you along the Thames Estuary to the RSPB's Cliffe Pools Nature Reserve. There's great birdwatching opportunites and lovely waterside footpaths here.
Near Meopham there's the attractive Camer Park with its woodland trails, wide lawns, country views and on site cafe.
Just east of nearby Rochester there's the attractive village of Upnor with its English Heritage owned 16th century castle and quaint old village centre.

Sculptures in Jeskyns. The park is a newly created open space and woodland, managed by the Forestry Commission, it is over 360 acres or 147 Hectares. It has various features within it including these huge sculptures, which are on a footpath from Cobham to Gravesend.
Bridleway entrance to Jeskyns. The park has many routes around it for walkers and for horse-riders.
Bluebells at Ashenbank Wood. Ashenbank Wood is located just to the east of the park and has some nice trails where you can extend your walk.
