This ancient Mid Suffolk village is located on the River Deben near Framlingham and Eye.
This walk takes you through the village and along the Ford which is said to be the longest in Britain.
To continue your walking in the area head south to visit Helmingham Hall. There are some lovely grounds and gardens surrounding this 16th century hall.
The waterside paths at Needham Lake are also not far away and well worth a visit.

The Woolpack has a charming interior with lots of horse brasses, village photographs and miniature bottles on display in bar area. They serve good homed cooked food and there is a fine view of the old church from the patio to the rear of the pub. The Longest Ford In Great Britain Stoney Lane (sometimes called Derrybrook Lane) Debenham, Suffolk which is reputed to be the longest ford in the country. The River Deben runs for about a mile along a metalled road (a council maintained public road, although there are only three houses served by it) which is normally flooded in the winter and reasonably dry in summer
