Mortimer West End, Benyon's Enclosure and Kiln Pond Walk
This circular walk explores the woodland to the west of the Berkshire village of Mortimer West End.
On the walk you will pass through the expansive woodland of the Benyon's Enclosure where there are a number of peaceful trails to try. You'll also pass the site of an ancient fort and the picturesque Kiln Pond.
The route also passes close to Silchester where you can explore the fascinating Roman Walls. Pamber Heath and Pamber Forest are also located just to the south west of the walk so there is plenty of scope for continuing your outing.
After your walk you could head to the Red Lion for some refreshments. You can find them at postcode RG7 2HU. The woodland trails make it a fine trail for dog walkers and the Red Lion is also dog friendly.
