Appleton Reservoir

1 miles (1.5 km)

This walk visits Appleton Reservoir near Warrington.
The small lake is mainly used for fishing but you can also enjoy a pleasant waterside stroll here. There's a parking area on Park Lane just to the north west of the site. Then pick up trails heading around the lake, part of which uses a section of the Mersey Valley Timberland Trail. You can continue your walking along the trail and visit the nearby village of Daresbury.
