Long Ashton Walks

This large village is located in North Somerset, just to the south west of Bristol.
The main attraction for walkers is Ashton Court Park which lies just to the north east.
This circular walk from the village visits some of the local walking highlights including the Ashton Estate, Leigh Woods, the Avon Gorge, the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge and the delightful Abbots Pool. The route uses sections of the Monarch's Way long distance footpath which runs through the area.
It's a varied walk with riverside sections along the Avon, peaceful woodland trails and some fine countryside views from the high points.

The Angel Inn is an historic pub of some note. The late 15th century pub has a cosy interior with large fires for colder days. Outside there's a marquee which is illuminated with stunning fairy lights. They serve good quality food and a good selection of drinks.
