Nocton Walks

4 miles (6.5 km)

This historic Lincolnshire village is located a few miles south of the city of Lincoln.
This circular walk from the village explores the area around the old Nocton Hall, visiting the site of the ancient Nocton Park Priory on the way.
Start the walk in the village and then follow the bridle tracks through the countryside east towards the hall, the priory and Car Dyke. You can then follow alternative footpaths back to Nocton, skirting the edge of Nocton Wood as you go. On the walk there's some pleasant views of the surorunding countryside to enjoy.
To continue your walking in the area pick up the Spires and Steeples Walk. The long distance trail runs between Lincoln and Sleaford, passing through Nocton on the way.
